Safety of paramount Importance in the crane industry in Geelong and beyond

Some of you may have heard the news that a huge tower crane on a Southbank construction site in Melbourne collapsed in early August. It appeared that the supporting structure the crane sits on had collapsed on itself. Fortunately, only one person had to be treated for leg injuries – quite miraculous really, considering the size of the crane. You can read more about the story here.

Even though the cranes at Absolute Crane Solutions are not as big and we do not deal with such enormous jobs (and therefore our jobs carry much less risk), this incident highlights that safety is of paramount importance in our industry; and it also highlights that some freak accidents can still happen even if the utmost care has been taken to ensure that everything is safe and secure.

We take safety very seriously – it is at the core of what we do. Our crane operators and dogmen all hold high-risk work licences (HRWL); are highly specialised, experienced and completely skilled and competent in what they do. Our Franna crane and mobile crane are also serviced and checked regularly and are certified by CraneSafe Australia. Every measure has been taken to ensure that Absolute Crane Solutions provides a service that is absolutely safe as well as efficient.
